Ample availability leads to Asian PTA declining last week

Ample of product availability coupled with weak upstream energy prices in the region lead to Asian PTA prices declining in the last week ended March 13.

In FE Asia, average prices dipped by US$ 5/ton or 0.78 per cent and were assessed at US$ 640/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices also descended by US$ 5/ton and were offered at US$ 660/ton last week, down 0.75 per cent from its previous week.

In Indian market too, average prices slipped by US$ 15/ton and were quoted at US$ 665/ton last week, a decrease of 2.21 per cent as against its previous week.

In China also, average prices went down by US$ 5/ton or 0.78 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 640/ton last week.
