Upstream price hike drives up Asian MEG on April 8

Hike in upstream product prices and improved downstream demand in the region drove up Asian MEG prices on Wednesday (April 8).

Increase in prices of other polyester feedstock too supported the price rise.

In India, prices were assessed at US$ 890/ton on Wednesday, higher by US$ 10/ton or 1.1 per cent as compared to prices on Tuesday (April 7).

In China, prices were spotted at US$ 885/ton on April 8, up by US$ 10/ton as against prices on April 7.
