Propylene prices decline in parts of Asia on May 11

Propylene prices declined in parts of Asia on Monday (May 11) mainly due to sluggish upstream energy prices, downstream product prices and poor downstream demand.

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 995/ton on Monday, lower by US$ 15/ton as compared to the prices at end of last week.

In China, prices were spotted at US$ 1035/ton on May 11, down by US$ 15/ton as against prices at end of the previous last week.

Prices remained steady in Japan and SE Asia at US$ 1015/ton and US$ 1020/ton, respectively.
