Poor demand last week pushes down Asian MEG prices

Poor downstream product demand in the region pushed down Asian MEG prices in the last week ended July 31.

In SE Asia, average prices slipped by US$ 35/ton or 4.21 per cent and were assessed at US$ 815/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In India, average prices fell by US$ 35/ton and were quoted at US$ 815/ton in the last week, down 4.12 per cent as against its previous week.

In China, average prices went down by US$ 40/ton and were offered at US$ 810/ton in the last week, a decrease of 4.71 per cent from its previous week.
