Cavitec, a subsidiary of Switzerland based textile machinery manufacturer Santex AG is showcasing the new Cavimelt P+P for precision and cost effectiveness in hotmelt coating and laminating using the rotogravure system at ITMA 2015 in hall 10, booth no. D-101.

Operating speed of the technology is up to 40 metres per minute and allows coating weights from 3-80 gsm, with all adhesives in thermoplastic and reactive hotmelts finding application.
“Fabrics produced through the Cavimelt P+P finds applications in active wear, automotive interiors, home textiles, technical composites, etc,” Santex added.
The company also informed that the machine is delivered pre-wired, assembled and tested and that the P+P in the name stands for Plug+Play, because of the short installation and commissioning time.
Santex has two subsidiaries which offer technologies in coating and laminating, one of which is Cavitec, which provides hotmelt and solvent technology, while Isotex specialises in wet coat technology. (AR)
