Asian benzene knocked down from weak downstream last week

Benzene prices were knocked down in Asia in the last week ended August 21 from weak downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices climbed down by US$ 90/ton or 12.86 per cent and were quoted at US$ 610/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices went down by US$ 90/ton and were assessed at US$ 605/ton in the last week, down a steep 12.95 per cent as against its earlier week.

In India, average prices were brought down by US$ 90/ton and were spotted at US$ 615/ton in the last week, a decrease of 12.77 per cent vis-à-vis its prior week.
