The Queensland Government had nearly drawn in for the bidding of the US $60 million Clyde and Ballandool properties and assist in providing the flow of water in the Murray Darling River.
Since, New South Wales and Federal Government do not render support; Queensland is unable to buy the two large irrigated cotton properties for sale on the southern border.
On the other hand, an environmental faction strides out from the Queensland Ministerial Advisory Council that was set up to deal with cross-border water issues stating it was futile to persist on discussing with the Queensland Government.
Meanwhile, several cotton plants have already collapsed due to non irrigation with neither governments ceding support to each other, farmer sources state.
