Quota-controlled textile exports to US earn $1.2bn

Exports turnover of quota–controlled textile and garment products to the US reaped around $1.2 billion, registering year–on–year rise of 10 percent so far this year, reported Ministry of Trade.
In first half July alone, the revenue reached $70 million.
During January–July 2006 period, exporting price of most such goods stable; however, slight decline was witnessed in the price of several 'hot' categories.
Meanwhile, sharp hike was recorded in prices of category No. 434 (woolen coat for men) at 33 percent, No.447 (woolen trousers for men) 41 percent and No.620 (filament fabric) up 45 percent in comparison with same period 2005.
