JVS Export to pump in Rs. 25 crore for second unit

Due to heavy influx of demand from US and Europe, JVS Export, the Karur based manufacturer of kitchen textiles is all set to invest Rs. 25 crore for its second manufacturing unit spread over 2 lakh sq. ft. area in Karur, South India.

Apart from kitchen textiles, this new unit will also manufacture dish cloth, table cloth and other kitchen accessories. New automatic looms will be added to double the present number of looms to 66 by setting second manufacturing plant coming up on 15 acres of land.

The expansion will be partly funded by the Central Bank of India and the rest through internal accruals.

Recently, JVS Export was awarded 'International Supplier of the Year 2004 Award' by Wal-Mart for improving its supply chain efficiencies in the international markets.

JVS Export also supplies to Canada-based Sears, Primac Stores in UK and South Africa-based retailer Pet Stores.

With a turnover of Rs 100 crore, JVS Export also plans to enter the bath towel segment by 2006, and bed sheets by mid-2007.
