Textile Expo to be held at Tashkent

Uzbekistan, in Central Asia, is one of the main cotton producers and stands second as world exporter.
It also deals in silk trading and their woolen carpets are second to none.
Private ventures and foreign investments are promoted to process the national production of cotton thereby boosting the textile industry and the economy at large since its independence in 1991.
Textile Expo Uzbekistan will be held at Tashkent in September 2006 organized by the ITE Group Plc / ITE Uzbekistan company.
Meanwhile, French textile association UCMTF and the French companies have been quite active on this promising market initiating a close partnership with the Textile Institute of Tashkent during the exhibition.
