Crises in the Middle-East may affect textile export from West Java, which has reached the figures of US $1 billion annually eualling 30 percent of its total exports.
Indonesian Textile Producers Association (API), Chairman, Ade Sudradjat, feared that if the conflict did not end in a month, the textile export may easily go down by 20 percent. Textile is generally exported to the Middle East via Dubai.
API is already in the know of a report from some of its members who had cancelled their exports to the region.
Exporters are helpless as the products had been manufactured keeping in mind the buyers from Middle East and hence, cannot be diverted to any other market.
