Safety footwear retailer Kodiak Footwear announced it has launched a new line of safety athletic footwear in the US market, only a month after its American debut. The line will feature eight hiker and "fresh" athletic styles, aimed at reaching the occupational safety consumer.
In its first month of US operation, Kodiak Footwear has reported sales well over projected figures. "May was very strong for us," said Wayne Elsey, President of Kodiak USA. "The distribution network welcomed the introduction of our product with open arms. We exceeded our expectations by 34% for our first month and are receiving strong sell-through at retail," he added.
KQ2 is the latest line of Kodiak's safety footwear. According to the company, the KQ2 line offers cool styling, innovative fit and a comprehensive range of expanded safety features for today's hard working consumer. "These aren't your father's work shoes," added Elsey. "We believe we've hit a winner here; the styling is fresh and fosters a comfort level to wear for work and casual use," he added.
