VP Mahama urged Thailand to invest in textiles & infrastructure

VP Aliu Mahama
Vice President Aliu Mahama met with the Thai Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Surakiart Sathirathai in Bangkok and expressed keen interest in developing trade relations, especially throgh technical collaboration.
Mahama also stated that Thailand could definitely benefit from Ghana's Free Zone Project in textile industry.
He promised co-operation from Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) that has market in the US.
Thailand's companies were invited to invest in Ghana's infrastructure which will be a profiting expenditure for both nations.
Another issue discussed here was the rapid finalization of Ghana-Thailand Trade Commission by October 2006.
