The Tirupur-based export house Best group of companies unleashed expansion plan worth Rs 150 crore in order to double its capacity to cater huge orders in the post multi fibre agrrement era.
The company plans to set up a integrated facility of spinning, knitting, dyeing and garmenting.
RRD Tex Private Limited flagship company of Best group will set up spinning and knitting divisions at Kundadam, near Dharapuram, dyeing unit at Perundurai, garmenting at Netaji Apparel Park at New Tirupur and wind power generation mills in Kanyakumari district.
Managing Director, R. Rajkumar informed that the spinning and knitting divisions will fully functional by the month August and the remaining will be operational by March of 2006.
Rajkumar stated that the company has good orders and it has lost many orders due to lack of capacity, but after completion of this expansion the company's turnover is likely to touch Rs. 300 crore by 2006-07.
The Group also intends to for a launch of public issue by 2008, Mr. Rajkumar added.
