Indo Rama Synthetics has announced that company's net profit during the quarter ended June 2006 reached Rs21.80 million, dropping nearly 78.27 percent from Rs100.30 million in the same period last year.
Sales recorded year-on-year fall of 6.13 percent to Rs4683.80 million.
However, company revealed plans to set up two continuous polymerization (CP) units with the production capacity of 400 tons per day that will raise annual output from 300,000 tons to 600,000 tons.
While one unit will produce polyester staple fibre (PSF) the other will be a yarn (POY) factory at the Butibori, Nagpur site in Maharashtra.
