Eastern Silk Industries Limited has declared rise of 55.6 percent in total profits in the quarter ended on September 30, 2006 at Rs16.18 crores turnover, compared to Rs10.40 crores in the same quarter 2005.
Company sources informed that the topline has recorded 25.52 percent growth to Rs116.63 crores, from Rs92.92 crores in the same quarter 2005.
Operating profit margin has increased to 20.8 percent as against 16.9 percent in the second quarter of 2005, which brought higher value addition and expanded company's production of artificial fabrics.
Total profit for half year ended on September 30, 2006 amounted to Rs30.53 crores on the net sales of Rs229.59 crore.
