Extrordinary trend show, T.W.I.S.T. (Texworld India Seasonal Trends) by Ornella Bignami forecasts international fashions
Buyers from international fashion houses have already registered to attend Texworld India
With a month left to go, the first edition of Texworld India is all set to open its doors to the apparel industry that has been waiting patiently for its own event for many years now. From 10th to 13th October 2006, Texworld India will run alongside Heimtextil India at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. It is slated to add a new and exciting chapter to the textile story that Messe Frankfurt started with the Indian textile industry over two decades ago.
Texworld India and Heimtextil India will be held at the same time and in the same venue under the umbrella of “Textile Days India”, the one stop sourcing and selling platform for the textile industry. Texworld India will follow in the footsteps of its parent event in Paris, offering two editions yearly - spring and autumn, starting with autumn 2006.
The fair is completely sold out with a little over 100 exhibitors. The response has been overwhelming. International exhibitors from China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Mauritius, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand, and USA will add flavour to the glorious mix of high quality Indian apparel fabrics and accessories on display at Texworld India.
Domestic players such as Raymond Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd, who lead the pack for menswear, head the Indian presence at the fair. In womenswear, the silk and embroidery contingents from Bangalore and Kolkatta will show off their collections. Prominent mills such as Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd, Garden Silk Mills Ltd, are also among the exhibitors.
