Best Corporation, the Tirupur based integrated knitwear export house, is expanding its production capacity with an investment of Rs350 crores.
Making the most of Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme, which is to expire by next March, the company will add another 72,000 spindles and 1,000 stitching machines. Best now has 65,000 spindles and 1,600 stitching machines in two phases.
The garmenting unit will have ultra modern embroidery and chest printing machines in the new facilities near Dharapuram.
Company's Rs40 crore processing house, Best Colour Solutions at Perundhurai, is most likely to commence operations by this December.
Once the entire expansion programme is over, the company's turnover would sail past Rs550 crores in 2010.
