Textile fairs paint rosy picture for industry

Textile industry worldwide appreciated “Textile Days India” held in Mumbai terming it as the best thing to have happened for the industry. The industry enjoyed the mixture of home fashion and apparel fabrics & accessories which was shown at two fairs, Heimtextil India (Home fashion) and Texworld India (Apparel fabrics and accessories).

Detlef Braun, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH told at inaugural ceremony that Indian textile industry looked tremendous potential wise with its in depth of products, creativity and quality.

Alfredo Rezenze, President of ASM, Portugal said that show displayed the strength of the industry in India and they will be having Portuguese pavilion next year.

The exhibition saw surge of visitors with more than 12, 456 visitors from 99 countries met a total of 318 exhibitors from 15 countries. Trade fairs were visited by 279 buyers and large number of them had good business as well.

Heimtextil India which showed complete range of home fashion products from bed, bath, and table to upholstery and accessories had 220 exhibitors.

Buyers belonged to various countries like UK, Germany, and Scandinavia while manufacturers and importers come to take from India and there was no better place than Heimtextil India.

The event was also attended by Minister of Textile, S. S. Vaghela who assured full Government support for such fairs so that it can reach the desired objectives.
