Indo Rama bags Gold for Best Overall Export Performance in MMF category

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd, India's largest dedicated Polyester manufacturing Company, received three awards - a Gold trophy for the Best Overall Export Performance in the category of Man-Made Fibre Yarn blended with natural Fibre, Gold Trophy for Best Export Performance in Exports to 'Focus Lac' Countries and Bronze Trophy for Third Best overall Export Performance in the category of SRTEPC Special Award for the financial year 2005 - 06.

Shri Shankarsinh Vaghela, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Government of India, presented the prestigious awards on the occasion to Mr. G P Bhatia, President Corporate and Mr. Rakesh Goel, General Manager Marketing.

The ceremony was attended by some of the top officials of the Textile and Commerce Ministry and leading names of the industry.

Indo Rama Synthetics has a state of the art plant located at Butibori (Nagpur) and produces close to 450,000 tonnes per annum of Polyester Staple Fibres, Filament Yarns, Textured Yarns and Textile grade Chips.

The company has recently, under its proposed expansion plans to double the capacity, commenced commercial production from the POY plant. The commercial production from its PSF plant is expected to commence from early next year.

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd exports to more than 60 countries across the globe. Exports during the financial year 2005 - 2006 stood at Rs. 329.1Crores, 17.9 percent higher than last year.
