Lindström opens textile service centre in China

The Finnish textile services company Lindström has founded a subsidiary in China in the beginning of 2006. The newly build service centre is situated in one of the world's fastest growing industrial parks, Suzhou. The opening festivities were held in Suzhou on Thursday 23rd November.

By acquiring workwear from a textiles services company a company can be free from investments in workwear purchases, fittings, care, warehousing and deliveries. This saves but money, also time. In addition, professional services live up to the changes in the pieces and the individual sizes used. Through using professional textile services a company can also improve it's own quality control through the cleanliness of textiles or through improving personnel protection through better workwear.

”Lindström is the only company offering professional textile services in the Suzhou area – and in all China”, says Lindström Group President & CEO Jukka Roiha at the opening ceremony in Suzhou.

”Our service centre has been build and supplied with new and innovative washing technique that Lindström uses in all countries of operation. We have also succeeded in client acquisitions and we employ today a team of 13 people: our functions have started with speed, sums Virkkala up. ”The opening ceremony is an opportunity to share an important moment with clients and partners. We have, of course, embedded Chinese tradition in the ceremony”, she tells.

The Lindsröm Chinese workwear collection has been directed to all industry sectors: the food industry with especially high requirements due to hygiene standards, to the metal and wood industries with focus on worker safety and the sensitive electronic industry to which Lindström offers a special ESD-collection that minimizes the hazardous electronic bursts possibly damaging components during production.
