Larsen & Toubro secures order worth $86mn

Larsen & Toubro secured an order of US $86 million from major Chinese petrochemical company Sinopec. L&T will design, manufacture and supply three reactors of ethylene oxide of above 1,000 tons each.
These reactors will be part of the methyl ethyl glycol (MEG) unit in petrochemical plant.
L&T has recently set up factory at Wuxi and Jiangsu for manufacturing of switchgear.
Company is soon expected to launch manufacturing facilities for rubber processing machinery in Jionan, Qingdao.
For past two years, it supplied equipments to China valued more than $300 million.
Chinese Heavy Industry Ministry has approved L&T with SQL certification for supply of critical equipment.
