Kalandrov urges TEA to build textile parks in Uzbekistan

Nodir Kalandrov, Uzbekistani Deputy Minister for Light Industries, has urged the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) to think over constructing integrated textile parks in his country.
He informed TEA members at Tirupur that Uzbekistan is the second largest cotton exporter after the US and that his country offers long and medium staple varieties of cotton.
He further stated that his Government provided 15 percent concession on cotton procurement for spinning purposes and 20 percent on the same for integrated apparel production facilities.
Nodir invited Tirupuri knitting industry to acquire spinning units in his country for garment making. He stressed on facilities like less expensive labour as against Europe offered by his country to textile investors.
