Government has revealed that a nearby country's National Agency of Food and Drug Control investigative report shows that banned substances like CI Pigment Red 53, Mercury and Rhodamine B were found in 27 categories of cosmetic products from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The Ministry of Health stressed that people strictly avoid using these products as they may cause minor or sometimes even major health problems like skin pigmentation, allergy, irritation, nausea or obstruct foetal and kidney development.
Banned list of products include Baby Change Eye Shadow, Blush' White Jade Pearl Past, Leving Pearl Cream, Crystal Lipstik and Lip Gloss, Ya Shang 5 in 1and B AntiFreckles.
