From January 1, 2007, some major adjustments will be made to HS.CODE, there are total 354 categories to be amended, among which, 41 groups are of agricultural products, 75 groups are of chemical products, 13 groups are of paper products, 46 groups are of textiles, 20 groups are of base metal products, 57 groups are of machinery and equipments, 102 groups are of other products.
HS.CODEs are the codes of the world-wide import and export commodities, after this amendment, the total number of six figured sub-categories of commodity description and coding system will be amended from 5224 items to 5052 items, forming 30 chapters.
Products with larger amendment includes: electronic and information products, chemical products, wood products, steel and steel products, motor vehicles and parts, toys, games and sporting goods and other goods.
The main changes to HS CODES include: delete categories, increase categories, merge categories, displace categories, and adjustment to provisions.
