People's Bank reports decline in cotton price by 4%

According to the report 'Enterprise Commodity Price Movements in November 2006' from China People's Bank, enterprise commodity prices rose 4.1 percent over same period of last year, a surge of 0.3 percent over last month.
In November, cotton price declined by 1.4 percent from last month, representing a drop of 7.3 percent and 7.6 percent over the same period of last year and beginning of the year, respectively.
During this period, textile price increased by 0.3 percent over previous month, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.9 percent. Clothing price also rose 0.5 percent over last month, a 0.2 percent increase over the same period of last year.
