CAPART's Gram Shree Mela a big hit

Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) has organized Gram Shree Mela at Manjalikulam grounds in Kerala, which is being visited by many people. Fair commenced on December 17, 2006.

Traditional craftsmen, SHGs, rural artisans from different states and CAPART members get opportunity to gather at one place for enhancing potential of rural handicrafts.

A pavilion displaying traditional handicrafts from various parts of the country and web marketing of rural products are some of the attractions at the event.

Carpets, jute bags, garments, handloom cloth toys, furniture, leather items, natural fibre products and ceramics are on sale. More than 100 NGOs are taking part in this ten day fair.
