Austrian entrepreneur impressed by rural handicrafts!

Austrian industrialist and EU's major importer of handicrafts and organically grown food, Karl Pirsch, was invited by President Yoweri Museveni to support his 'Prosterity for All' campaign.
Visiting Africa for the first time, Karl ordered handicrafts worth over US $20,000 or Sh 36 million from women in Uganda's rural areas.
Pirsch told the media, “Uganda has very excellent quality handicrafts and organically grown fruits. These are the products that my market in Europe is craving for. There is a very strong demand for natural products in Europe."
Karl has been importing products from Asia and Latin America for his enterprise 'Eine Welt Handel AG (One World Trade)' for past 20 years and this was his pioneer African project.
