Spain's enterprises plan to expand in Chinese market

Spain's three premier retail chains, Mango, Cortefiel and Lotusse are planning to expand their business in Chinese market.
Mango, which entered Chinese market in 2002, has opened 14 franchise shops in China. Mango's current profit is more than EUR6 million in China and its turnover is expected to reach EUR11 million by 2009.
Cortefiel has opened 2 franchise shops that deal in Springfield brand in Hangzhou and Chendu. The company is planning to open over 200 franchise shops in next 5 years.
Similarly, Lotusse has opened 2 shops in Beijing and Shanghai. It is estimated that company will opened around 50 shops by 2006.
Kelme, mainly deals in sports wear, has planned to open over 1000 shops in China to take advantage of business opportunity from 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
