Tuesday, 20th February 2007 at 9.00 a.m., the new Texworld will open its doors at the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Centre for its twentieth edition. The new exhibition venue is not only very close to the centre of Paris, but also close to the airports and easily accessible by car and public transportation.
A continuous shuttle service between Texworld and Le Bourget station will be provided, carrying visitors to the two show entrances in Hall 1 and Hall 2 within a few minutes.
800 to 850 exhibitors will be offering fabrics and accessories on just one level, allowing a better overview and giving the show greater dynamic. A much smarter and more attractive show awaits the professional visitors (2006: close to 19,000) from the international textile and clothing scene. The new venue with its high ceilings and bright halls help to define the new look of Texworld.
Trend Forums will clearly identify the different product areas represented in the show. Special material Trends (wool, cotton/linen, specialist fabrics, silk/lace/embroidery, linen and knitwear) will be located throughout the show, serving as a guideline and making it easier to navigate through the broadest range of textile products on the market – from "pure luxury" to lower priced products, with the best quality to price ratio available.
The IWTO, International Wool Textile Organisation, will renew for the third time its “Feature Wool” forum that will give three young designers a change to present their work. In addition, the IWTO will also organise its own forum in the wool sector in collaboration with the Winchester School of Art.
