Oeko-Tex test institutes to be on hand at Heimtextil 2007

To inform the textile industry of the advantages of the Oeko-Tex testing and certification system and the way in which the system operates, the International Oeko-Tex Association will once again be represented at the Heimtextil trade fair with its own exhibition stand in 2007.
Between 10 and 13 January, experts from the German Oeko-Tex Certification Centre and several Oeko-Tex test institutes will be on hand in Hall 8.0, D96 to talk at length to interested visitors.
Latest adaptations to the Oeko-Tex criteria catalogue
Since 1 January 2007, new specifications relating to the criteria to be satisfied according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 apply. A transitional period up until 1 April 2007 is provided for implementation within companies.
The member institutes of the International Oeko-Tex Association revise the underlying test parameters on an annual basis in their technical working groups and expert bodies and extend the requirements where this is necessary for the textile manufacturing chain due to current product developments, research findings and legislation.
