Vibrant INDA team led by Rory Holmes arrives in Ahmedabad

President of Association of the Non-woven Fabrics Industry, popularly called INDA, Mr Rory Holmes, arrived yesterday in Ahmedabad along with his team of officials to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Seminar.
In an exclusive tête-à-tête with fibre2fashion, Holmes expressed his keenness to promote nonwoven textiles, a sunrise sector in India through INDA – India branch.
So far in India, there are many players but one outstanding fact to be noted is that an NRI Dr Seshadri Ramkumar, Nonwoven and Advanced Materials Laboratory, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, USA & Co-Chairman, INDA-India Committee, INDA, USA, spearheads the campaign to promote this particular textile sector in India.
Holmes informed that currently the industry size is around 35000 tons per year.
Technical textiles is helpful in manufacturing diapers, sanitary napkins, automobiles, healthcare products and geo textiles.
Explaining the role of INDA, Holmes stated that his organization is out to promote, disseminate and conduct workshops and training seminars within the ambit and scope of technical textiles.
Rounding off, Holmes was quite enthusiastic about promoting the sector and also sought cooperation from domestic industrialists and entrepreneurs.
