Japan keen to improve diplomatic relations

In order to boost economic relations between Pakistan and Japan, dialogues will be exchanged in a meeting to be held at the end of this month in Karachi.

Pakistan was top exporter of cotton and yarn to Japan's textile industry and Japan exported technology regarding textile to domestic industry.

Since 1989-1990, Japan invested about US $430 million in the country.

On April 28, 2002, Japan and Pakistan celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations.
