Method of Dyeing & Dry Cleaning Control to be implemented

Dyeing and dry cleaning industry is expected to jump onto the standardized development track as Ministry of Commerce has announced the draft of Methods of Dyeing and Dry Cleaning Control and is taking counsel of industry experts.
This new method will be helpful to standardize dyeing and dry cleaning industry, and to promote the healthy development of dyeing and dry cleaning market.
By 2005, the country had around 150,000 dyeing and dry cleaning units with around 800,000 employees. The market size was around RMB10 billion.
However, most of the machines & equipments used by these units are in poor condition. Moreover, due to negligence from management, the complaining rate is also very high.
At present, the association plans to try out Methods of Dyeing and Dry Cleaning Control in some areas.
