Cotton production's target revised at 12.5mn bales

This year, Cotton Crop Assessment Committee (CCAC) has estimated cotton production to reach 12.5 million.
The target has been revised from earlier 12.44 million bales to 12.50 million bales.
Similarly, production target for Punjab is fixed at 10.1 million bales, Sindh at 2.3 million bales, Balochistan and NWFP at 0.1 million bales.
Till January 15, cotton arrivals at the ginneries are estimated at 11.55 million bales. On the basis of these figures, committee has revised target, which looks to be quite achievable.
