In first eleven months 2006, footwear industry exported 288,050 pairs of knit-capped shoes worth US $3.03 million to Brazil, a year-on-year increase of 151.73 percent and 41.84 percent in terms of volume and value, respectively.
The exports of knit-capped shoes to Brazil accounted for 12.50 percent of total footwear exports turnover of Vietnam.
In 2006, industry is estimated to export 315,000 pairs of knit-capped shoes worth $3.3 million, a hike of 150 percent in volume and 250 percent in value compared to 2005.
The average price of the goods exported to Brazil reached $10.51 per pair, a surge of 41.84 percent over same period 2005.
Till the end of November 2006, about eight enterprises were engaged in exports of goods to Brazil.
