Trans-seasonality of wool is key for menswear at Pitti Uomo

There was a big offer in un-lined and un-constructed pullover jackets for a casual look, and also on jackets with an indoor/outdoor function achieved using special applications and finishes. Fancy Merino wool coats were seen in traditional heritage patterns such as herringbones, strong three dimensional twills and checks, using worsted spun yarns.
There is a revival of flannel trousers in mélanges, but also with precise fancy patterns such as checks. Styling is mainly straight cut, seen both with and without cuffs.
In knitwear, a key trend for the season is trans-seasonality, with heavier weight knits being worn instead of jackets or coats. Fine Merinos were seen in slightly coarser gauges, and some Merino wool fabrics were given a Shetland appearance, but retained their luxurious handle and weightlessness.
