Turkmen Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange registered contracts worth US $140 million in the previous week.
Majority of the 49 contracts made at the exchange were for buying petrochemicals obtained from Turkmenbashi and Seyydi oil refineries, which accounted for $140.186 million.
Turkmenistan traders bought lint-cotton worth over Manat5 billion, whereas Swiss, Cypriot and Singapore businessmen purchased many types of lint cotton.
Regular cotton wool, cotton yarn, cotton threads, yarn mixed with waste of cotton spinning, grey fabric and various knitwear were bought by merchants from Iran, Switzerland, US, BVI, Estonia, India, Russia, Turkey and Pakistan.
Traders from Turkey and Iran used foreign currency to buy gasoline A-80 and A-92. Polypropylene, base oil SN-180 and SN-350 as well as burnt oil coke from Turkmenbashi complex was bought by Iranian and Panama merchants.
Total cost of contracts registered in national currency on deposits surpassed Manat28.546 billion.
