Brand-oriented clothing vogue in markets

According to the market research and data collected by the State Information Center, since 2000, the consumption of Chinese fashion products in the market has recorded significant growth. A consumer survey in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou cities shows that up to 2006, people's per capita consumption of fashion products reached 1850 yuan, accounting for 25 percent of the total annual income.

Consumers can easily note that, by 2006 clothing brands in large shopping centers not only increased in terms of number, but their quality grade levels were also subdivided.

Domestic brands and imported brands occupied equal space in medium shopping malls, while top-grade shopping malls were mostly dominated by foreign brands. Only rare domestic brands could match them.

Along with the development of China's fashion brand products, as well as the development in the field of information and communication, more and more international fashion and fashion information rapidly flow into Chinese consumer market, forming a leading consumer-oriented market of local clothing brands under the guide of international clothing brands.

It is expected that Chinese per capita consumption spending of fashion products in major cities will reach 3,500 yuan in 2010, with tremendous room for growth.

According to the statistics of 'national major and large retailer's sales in 2005', clothing sales maintained high-speed growth, and some enterprises achieved the highest growth rate of 35.5 percent.
