Silk sector problems discussed at EU & CCD dialogue

EU collaborated with CCD Bangladesh to organize a local economic development and trade issues dialogue in Rajshahi.

Several participants raised different issues on problems faced by the silk industry. Experts suggested that the import duty on silk yarn and silk fabrics be reduced.

To protect the interest of the domestic silk traders, Government was urged to offer complete support and financial discounts and aid.
