The 15th International Fashion Fair (IFF), the largest business-oriented fashion fair in Japan organized by SENKEN SHIMBUN Co Ltd, successfully closes on January 19. On the opening day of the 17th, the number of visitors was 10,570,10641 on the second day; and 4,033 on the final day as of 1:00 p.m.
A lot of people were lined up in front of the reception counter soon after the doors opened every day, and the fair venue was full of excitement for business negotiations. The number of visitors is expected to reach 30000 for the three-day event.
An increase in the exhibitors for ladies' wear; materials originated in Japan; and sexy and wild fashion for men's wear.
This time, the fair attracted 703 exhibitors (600 companies from Japan and 103 companies from 19 countries and regions), the largest scale the fair has ever had. Over the past few fairs, exhibitors have upsized their booth, and the number of space units has increased to 986 compared with the previous fair. The fair features all fashion-related products such as shoes and accessories other than apparel, and one of the highlights of this fair was that the number of exhibitors for ladies' wear zone increased compared to the previous fair.
In the ladies' wear zone, brands and manufacturers for adults & middle-aged women were outstanding. There were many nature-oriented products made from natural materials such as cotton, hemp, and so on, and they were attracting many visitors from the opening day. Many buyers were also visiting Creator's Village, a zone to show products by young creators and emerging manufacturers.
