A state level Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (REGP) exhibition organised by the khadi and village industries commission was inaugurated today, at the Imphal polo ground.
The exhibition scheduled to be held for ten days, will also have a seminar on REGP theme on February 5, an essay writing competition on February 6 and a debating competition on February 8, besides the exhibition.
The exhibition will have 50 stalls displaying and selling products that include craft ware made from bamboo and cane, khadi items, embroidery and wool knitting, traditional clothing, carpets, pottery, jewelry and decorative items.
The opening function was attended by Dhiraj Yumnam, Director, Commerce and Industries, Dr N Ibohal Singh, Director, Regional Tasar Research Station, and SK Sahu Director, SISI, under Central Government Ministry.
