The French company Onixxa has introduced a pair of tights with a slimming agent in them. The company now has over 30 garments, including slimming jeans, under the Lytess trade mark with an annual sales of 4.5 million euros.

Companies like Adidas, Nike and L'Oreal are trying to follow the suit by bringing attires with slimmimg agents.

The textile giant Invista, has launched its brand Lycra Body Care which makes men and women's underwear, socks and tights with the use of cosmeto-textiles. Now the company has clients across the world.

The cosmeto-textiles contains aloe vera moisturisers, nutrients derived from seaweed or perfumes which make people feel fresh or cool help to keep skin moist.

The French textile industry with the help of strong government support is planning to launch a quality label with the help of this technology.

Manufacturers of cosmeto-textiles showcased their creations at Paris's annual lingerie trade fair on Sunday.
