AraVore Babies Spring/Summer collection

he AraVore Babies Spring/Summer collection is a mixture of light, floaty fabrics and beautiful crochet detailing. Using only the finest organic cotton, grown on fair-trade plantations in Paraguay, each individual item is hand made to perfection, ensuring a beautifully finished garment that will see your child throughout the happy days of summer and beyond.
For the girls, there are flapper dresses, roses beanie hats, hand knitted slippers and sandals, as well as a beautifully crafted limited edition ruffle dress in cotton voile – simply perfect for a late afternoon garden party or walk in the park. The boys range has been extended to include hooded vests, knitted shorts and crochet tank tops, all with the fine detailing and eloquent finishes that have become AraVore's trademark.
All AraVore Babies garments are available in 0-2 years and are made from 100% pure organic cotton without the use of harmful dyes or bleach. The cotton used by AraVore is grown by small farmers in Ascunsion, Paraguay and is also spun locally, thus leaving as much of the added value as possible in the country where the raw materials come from.
Local seamstresses work in the friendly AraVore workshop where they use traditional stitching methods to create the garments. Each garment also carries a label signed by the craftswoman who made, thus creating a direct link between the artisan's work and the person eventually wearing the garment. The notion of traceability is very important to AraVore as is the notion that the artisan's work is properly appreciated and valued.
AraVore are working on a project to increase the amount of organic cotton that is currently grown in Paraguay by sponsoring small farmers in their transition from planting conventional cotton to planting organic cotton.
This project ("Nande AraVore" or "Our piece of the sky") includes the establishment of a local farming co-operative as well as a community fund to carry out improvements in health and education in the local area.
