The bilateral trade between Zhejiang province and Africa is growing at a fast pace and is sustaining a very good position.
In 2001, the total volume of export and import was US $1.31 billion, as compared to the total volume of export and import was $6.68 billion in 2006. The total volume of import has shown a rise of $1.24 billion with a 49.8 percent than 2001.
Recently, Benin-China Economy Trade Development Center was inaugurated by Zhejiang Teams International Economic and Technical Cooperation Company Ltd was held in the capital of Benin.
The Trade Development Center is expected to finish by 2008, and it will be the first collaboration between Chinese and African Government after 2006 Sino-Afric Cooperation Forum.
