Welspun India`s agreement with Tommy Hilfiger ends

The agreement, wherein Welspun India could use `Tommy Hilfiger` mark for import, manufacturing and sale of home furnishing products which included bed and bath accessories in India has expired.
Welspun India will now market the `Christy` brand home in the Indian market for which it had acquired 85 percent stake in CHT Holdings, the ultimate holding company of the UK`s leading towel brand Christy.
Welspun Group is also looking for a 100 percent acquisition in a home textile firm in Europe.
The company in its bid to acquire the European firm is looking to close the deal for $50-80 million with the possibility of it going up to $120 million.
