El Corte Ingles' new shop generates huge employment

El Corte Ingles Group, leading department store in Spain, is going to open new store in Elche, Alicante.
The new shop will provide employment to 900 people residing in Elche. El Corte Ingles already has received more than seven thousand applications for various posts.
Candidates selected in the interview will have to undergo training in 82 different courses.
The store is set up after the investment of EUR 14 million. It has a retail area of 141,000 square meters, of which, 26,000 square meters would be used for commercial purpose.
Its ground floor will have area of 10,200 square meters that will accommodate culture, male fashion, sports and leisure departments and first floor will have area of about 5,300 square meter allotted to textiles.
Second floor of the store would be specifically dedicated to home, sound and image as well as various restaurants.
