Alok Industries exports have brought in 27 percent of its revenues this year and its ramp-up in home textiles coupled with phasing-out of quotas has emboldened it to go all out for boosting exports to contribute 34% of its revenue in FY08.
Its product range in apparel fabrics contributed 45 percent of FY06 revenues, home textiles contributed 21 percent of FY06 revenues with global retailers such as Wal-Mart, JC Penny, GAP and garment exporters buying its products.
Alok Industries, managed by Jiwrajka family, has the largest textile processing capacity of 60 million metres.
It has integrated facilities for yarn texturising, weaving, knitting, processing, made-ups and garments.
