KVIB provides subsidy to set up 130 industrial units

SRINAGAR:
The Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) has provided subsidy of Rs93.19 lakh to set up 130 industrial units in Baramulla district, a spokesman of the board informed on Tuesday.
Banks have also provided loans to the tune of Rs32.27 crore to these entrepreneurs to set up industrial units during the current fiscal, he said.
KVIB also provides a 30 percent subsidy on any unit that is being set up with a loan of Rs25 lakh, the spokesman informed.
In order to attract more youth towards setting up industrial units in the district, KVIB in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Institute had organized a three-day training programme at Sopore, he said.
Further such training programmes are also being planned at block levels by the Board.
