In 8th session of the Pak-Saudi Joint Ministerial Commission, both the sides agreed to establish special economic partnership.
The commission was headed by Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan and Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr Hashim A Yamani.
Both the countries would encourage roadshows and exhibition that will promote business interaction between them.
Government urged Saudi Arabia to rationalize standard requirements and duty imposed on exports and to permit private investment in free re-export zone.
For meeting import requirements of plant machinery, Government offered skill of Small Enterprises group of companies to Saudi.
It also invited Saudi investment in Export Processing Zones of Pakistan for the establishment of export oriented industries for custom free import of raw materials.
